LOST HORIZON CABIN

Lost Horizon is the vacation cabin where most of the excitement in Coffee Cups & Wine Glasses transpires. It’s a happy place that attracts weddings; reunions; honeymoons; family, girlfriend, & great guy (believe it or not) weekends, and week-long getaways.

The name Lost Horizon is inspired by a 1933 novel about finding a sense of purpose, love, inner peace & tranquility. It is best remembered as the origin of Shangri-La, a fictional utopian lamasery high in the mountains of Tibet.  President Franklin D. Roosevelt named the Presidential hideaway in Maryland after Shangri-La. (It has since been renamed Camp David.)  The novel is said to be a loose basis for the film Star Trek: Insurrection.
